The 1st International Conference for Young Scientists in Advanced Manufacturing (JIMSE 2023) was successfully held on July 30th in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, under the theme "New Youth, New Vision, New Manufacturing." The event gathered over 380 participants, including more than 10 academicians, leading experts from home and abroad, and young scientists. Key figures, such as Ye Zhengbo, Vice Chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Wen Nuan, Secretary of the Shaoxing Municipal Party Committee, delivered speeches emphasizing the critical role of young talent and innovation in advancing the manufacturing industry. The conference served as a significant platform to showcase Shaoxing's commitment to becoming a hub for advanced manufacturing and technological collaboration.

The conference yielded substantial outcomes, including the presentation of the Emerald Global Outstanding Award and the JIMSE Global Young Scientist Award to recognize exceptional scholars. Several key cooperation projects were signed on site, and new collaborative bodies, such as the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Union for Yangtze River Delta universities, were established. The agenda featured keynote reports by renowned academicians on topics like intelligent manufacturing and parallel sessions on specialized technical areas. These activities fostered in-depth exchanges and injected fresh momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy through innovation-driven discussions.
