The 2nd International Conference for Young Scientists in Advanced Manufacturing (JIMSE 2024) was successfully held from August 2nd to 7th, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand. Centered on the theme of "Belt and Road Initiative and Intelligent Manufacturing in China," the conference brought together over 120 experts and scholars from various countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea, both online and offline. Jointly organized by institutions such as the UK-China Research Center for Special Equipment and Robotics, Zhejiang University, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the event served as a vital platform for in-depth discussions on cutting-edge fields like smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence, aerospace, and 5G+ communication technologies.

A key outcome of the conference was the strengthening of international academic collaboration, marked by the establishment of the Sino-Thai Digital Intelligent Technology Research Institute. The event also recognized outstanding academic contributions by presenting the 2024 JIMSE International Young Scientist Awards and Best Paper Awards. Furthermore, the conference garnered significant support from prestigious international bodies, including the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK) and the National Research Council of Thailand, which underscored its global influence and role in fostering scientific cooperation under the Belt and Road framework.
